this will definitely be 3-way active frontstage, and may have subs running IB behind the seats.

for now i have to find amps that i like the look of, that are of high enough quality, and within my price range of $1

I'd probably not use the Seas for just a mb, but I wouldn't use the L8 then either. Something about playing an octave and a half doesn't make me want to splurge that far.

what would you start to look at then? 8" is definitely the largest i can fit and even that will take some work. i'm sure i can get the L8s to dip down to 30hz with quite a bit of authority in the doors which would definitely ease my sub troubles.

How deep? Personally I'd take the SLS over the Seas for MB only duties.

for the most part I have as much depth as i want. I know that's a vague ass answer but i'll be building pods on the door and cutting the door skin because there was never a door speaker on the fiero. so i can easly build the pod out a few inches on top of the depth into the door, but i would imagine about 4"-4.5" is the max i can do before the seat hits it(and hopefully the most i'd need).

L8's at $275ea or Peerless SLS at $60ea seems like a no brainer to me.

1995 Saturn LS2

5 Speed Manual, and 145 HP of pure fury.

Has less than 90K miles and I got it for 1400

:woot:

I have always wanted to own a manual... and now I do! :D

Not sure I understand the logic, once you add repairs, insurance, the price of ownership, the miles you drive it can't save you enough to pay for it even if your truck only got 10mpg.

You also have to factor in the fact that now I don't have to keep my truck on the road as much so it will last me longer, upgrades to the truck don't have to be "Gas Saving" choices and that I've really always wanted to have a little manual tranny vehicle to have fun in. AKA: A bunch of personal reasons.

You really wouldn't understand the logic if you knew how my gas got paid for. :lol2:

Though, because you brought it up I would love to do a cost analysis to see how long it would take for the vehicle to pay itself back
