Damn it, I really want that ZED 6 channel from gentlejax. It would not be enough power for the entire install, but would be great to throw some real power to the mids. But would love to do a super lower power install with just that amp (active 2 way up front) and a pair of our 8's (if they ever get here) in the rear.

that amp looks sweet. I have been looking at 6 channels for my truck too.

I almost jumped on the deal car domain had a while back on the JBL755.6, but honestly, I will take ZED over the JBL. Nick has the JBL and he has it running the full system.

I have an older alpine v 12 that's only 60 watts x 4. I wanted to upgrade and go 3 way front, but it's becoming a nightmare of logistics without the processing to handle it.

Fuck stimulous checks.............I deploy for 15 mths to the fucking desert and cause "you didn't pay taxes this past year so no $$$ for you"

FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!1

Frankly, for what you guys do, a mere check for a couple hundred bucks is an insult :)

Hell, their paychecks are even more insulting.

"Mrs. Smith, I regret to inform you that you son has been killed in combat. Here's a nice pin and a properly folded American flag along with a traditional military burial. Thank you."

i hate saying this, but...

our military is all volunteer. these folks knew going in they weren't getting rich, might get shot at and would have to do this for a nation of people who might not appreciate them. and while that might be wrong, they still volunteered. not making excuses, i feel as though the goverment, as well as the people, owe these folks a great debt. but facts are facts, and they did volunteer.

don't forget, that once they get in the civilian sector, they are given some perks. not too mention some good benefits while in, they have some good ones while out. after they serve, and god willing, they are 100%, they can damn near write their own paycheck. of course that depends on their field choice, if they followed up with education, etc, etc. but they will get extra points for whatever they are applying for due to their service, as they should.

don't get me wrong. they service they provide, the duty they do, the manner in which they do it (seems like our boys/girls are always handcuffed in combat one way or another. why do we have to play by the rules when the other side doesn't even acknowledge there are rules in the first place??) and the qualtiy that they deliver, they definitely deserve more then they get. no arguement there. all we can do is voice our opinion in the elections by voting in people who actually support the military, and ever little thing we can do for the service folks here at home. i ride in the patriot guard. we escort both homecomings and funerals, and play barrier for those idiots who want to degrade our heros. it isn't much, but it's something, and it's something i'm proud to be part of.

ok, enough rambling. sorry for the book. to j, helo and whomever else on here who serves,....thank you.

M1 returns :)

but that m1 looks like a cross between the new camaro (headlights look like the chumps tailights) and a lambo. dunno, while i know it'll be a sweet car, i'm not feeling that concept.

I am still waiting too. I want to do some extensive testing. Maybe get fuzzyping to participate too, he is an RL-i guy, so it will be a good 2nd ear. Might even try to get Randy (assman) to see what he thinks. Would love to do crazy8's again. :)

Blasting our way through the boundaries of Hell

No one can stop us tonight

We take on the world with hatred inside

Mayhem the reason we fight

Surviving the slaughters and killing we've lost

Then we return from the dead

Attacking once more now with twice as much strength

We conquer then move on ahead

There were only 50 blue coned Icon's I believe (less then 100 actual production Icons made I believe). I have one 10" that is mine mine mine! Mark might have one last blue Icon at his house, but I am not positive on that one.

Kent you have alot of very good points. The problem is alot of us are not coming back 100%. Think of the people with Nam flash backs. Well alot of us have them too but they are different and in some cases VERY extreme.

I would like to thank you for riding in the patriot guard. You guys standing by us and helping make our welcome home a little more enjoyable is very appriciated and is not something we take for granted. I know here about 90% of the patriot guard riders we have here are vets themselves.

Also to the whole "write your own paycheck" gig. Well as you said its based on field of choice whilse serving, and amount of education recieved while in as well. Alot of us are doing our best to get college completed, but with deployments and not knowing in the location you arrive to with have internet for school makes it even more complicated. Add in field time, training, and other shit and it can be a REAL hassle and many of us opt not to bother.

And with u mentioning pay, without being married i gross about 2k a month, and only bring home around 1600.

That is ridiculous ... the people serving coffee and doughnuts at Tim Horton's here make that. The janitors at the school bring home just over $2100 a month and have full benefits.

I have a strange urge to go for a ride on my motorcycle and its raining.

What kind of bike?

I'm currently waiting to get my honda 954 back in comission.

A real old CB750

i owned a 75 cb750k-4. the 4? symbolized the first year of 4 cylinders with 4 carbs. was a neat scoot. with some tweaks, was getting 90mph in the 1/8th very regularly. cut a perfect light, 95mph and high 7s, low 8s. made small (read 600) crotch rockets work, lol. big ones?? now chance, i saw tailights after 60ft.

Mine is an 80 with the "high revving" 4, fun to ride for a cheap bike. I bought it with 4k miles for $700...hard to say no.

I also have full benifits. full health (takes about 3 weeks for a refferal if they don't have it on post {optomety, maternity}), dental (i prefer to have it done while overseas by the Navy or Air Force), and vision (off post).

They also give us a Commessary (big ass grocery store with almost anything u want), and a PX (think walmart with playboy, gucci bags for the women, and cheap stuff but shit automotive). The prices at both are usually about 2-30% less than in town depending on item.

the only real "rape" per se is gas and smokes. Cigs are cheaper off post, and gas is only a penny or 2 cheaper a gallon if not on par with the cheapest in town, and its not really that...........great.

that's why i stated god willing. i wish more came back 100%, but it is hazardous work. and the goverment does indeed need to realize there is more then just bodily damage done. and more attention/work needs to be done to help treat and prevent those types of disablilities.

and you got the just of the "write your own paycheck" comment. it's there, one has to work for it. and like you mentioned, adn no arguement from me, there are times it jsut can't be done. but even with those hardships, even in bluecollar jobs, just serving gives you a leg up. for instance, your service gives you an additional 10 points in illinois for any state job. so all eles equal between us, you are higher on the list by 10 points, which is more then fair. i have no argument to that. might not be much, and it's not enough, but it's something.

and you and the rest of the military need not thank me. it si my honor to ride for you guys and gals. and yes, most of the people i ride with are indeed nam or desert storm vets. i tend to ride towrds the back and let those guys ride up front, my way of giving respect to them as well. it's a honor to pay back both fallen and returning heros.
