Damn, been sneezing today, and they are hellacious sneezes too. Not just a single sneeze, but a double take, seems like one about every couple hours, drives me crazy.

Steel bridge team load tested their bridge today, 2500lb test weight, it deflected a total of .59" (readings from three seperate points were added to get that number), and weighs just under 300lbs.

wow i wonder how our school is doin on theirs

Since I work in the shop they build the bridge in and know all the people who do anything real on it it helps with my knowledge of it. Plus I also harass the welders and their welding too. :D

*Its actually not bad welding at all*

Speaking of welding, the man from Lampton welding supply stopped by at work today with some new autodarkening helmets for us to try since we needed a new one. Me and my fellow worker picked one we liked, 200$ (can't remember the brand for the life of me right now) and while welding today we aren't to happy with it now. Its fricking Awesome except for when you first strike the arc you get flashed because it doesn't darken fast enough even with the sensitivity on high.

I've got two shelves and the base welded up on my entertainment center now, need to weld up a 3rd shelf and design the tv piviot arm. The TV mount arm should itself be pretty fricking kickass by itself.

One of the ones at work is great, to damn small of a viewing area, but a decent helmet. The new one is awesome, huge viewing area (only 2 sensors though), great headband, etc, but the damn flashing.

I'll give him a call tomorrow about it.

At a 1" span that is far from impressive...if you couldn't tell I am curious as to the span.
