Current gearing and motor it tops out at 41 mph . The track I race on a fast track but it's not huge. I have a fully modded 7 port motor I can throw in it and break 60 mph easily with taller gearing

Came up with the idea the other day at the shop that we need to make a Civil Engineering shop employee drag car/truck.

Engine: Big block from home or an old race engine from my boss's son, damn cheap

Tranny: Turbo 400, damn cheap, needs rebuilt

Rear end: Dana 60, free to damn cheap, prob need rebuilt

Host Vehicle: Not a f'ing clue, truck would be free, no car in sight for use.

Fabrication: Myself, the other employees and family,

I knew you would say that.

It might be cheaper just to mod my truck to satisfy my go fast urge. I think full intake/exhaust, cam, torque conver, shift kit, would satisfy my urge for awhile...

But I still wanna build a drag vehicle.

A lot of good info in this forum . Several of the biggest engine modifiers in the world post on it.

They are basically a 2 stroke loop scavenging design. Compression is normally around 8.5 to 1. Properly geared turning usually 30-40k rpm. They use a replaceable cylinder sleeve design . I can take pics of the internals real quick if you want
