I have zero idea as to what car to buy.

Steve, I just bought me an '06 Pontiac G6, Its a damn nice car. The stock system is actually much better than i thought it would be. Pretty quick and gets pretty good gas mileage. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a newer car.

Sort of asinine to praise a cars stock system on here, perhaps you should be happy with other things on the car and like it for that since the stock electronics are going in the garage if you come here :(

simply stating i was impressed with the stock system. wasnt praising it as you say. It has been quite some time since i've ran across a decent stock system.

oooooo, so we have "pretty quick" and "pretty good gas mileage" from that description I am SURELY going to run right out and buy one.

figured if he wanted to know more info about the car he'd do some research, didnt realize i needed to post all the specs of the car

20 and 53 were the numbers I used for the sports I played in middle school when I made that name

never mind. I don't know why your being an ass but life goes on. I'll not try to recommend a decent car in the future. Steve perhaps you are interested in buying my 96 Isuzu pickup that needs a new clutch.

Your recommendation without knowing his needs was more ass-like than my response to it. Proposing a solution to a need without understanding the problem is dumb. Plus the G6 is a joke :(

My buddy has an '05 CTS and has had a ton of minor problems with it, mostly related to electrical systems and sensors ... The interior is very nice, though and there's plenty of power ...

Overall ... he enjoys it? I assume you have either driven it or ridden in it or both ... your thoughts? I do like the interior too.

Were the minor problems covered by the warranty? Any idea (roughly) how much he has dropped on those repairs?

He's happy with it when its not in for repair ... He said he's probably going to trade it in this year because the warranty is expiring soon and he doesn't want to be paying the bills out of his own pocket ...

To the best of my knowledge, he's had continuing problems with the fog lights, heated seats, and fuel tank sensor. There were a couple other things as well, but I don't recall exactly what they were, but they were enough to put his car off the road for a week at a time.

Overall, I think he enjoys it. He said he's probably going to trade it in for an Acura, though.

Mark and I fucked up big time on a box tonight.

Forgot to calculate port area into total internal volume.

We needed an 8.5 cube internal box.. ended up with like 4.5 after the port and the woofers.

SHIT.

I've still got the Acoustic Visions XJ15 sitting in my closet. It likes giant ported boxes tuned low and stuffed with polyfill.

We can port the bad box to 25hz (:D) an get 7.4 cubes out of it.. plus whatever 6.5lb's of polyfill does.

This still might work.
