Constrained layer dampening works. In the case of quiet steel it is really almost like have a sandwich of deadener in between two really thin sheets of metal.

Damn me. I was bragging last night how I was the only person I know around here who hasn't had the flu yet, and today I just start feeling like shit and have the shits. I thought my gallon of water and gallon of grape juice a day was working, but apparently not so. Well, it's been working for several months.
