there is another wine class we have that is manageable.

apparently you have nice professors there. i've had quite a few classes here where the material wasn't rough but the tests were flat out impossible just to thin down the class.

for example, and i use this all the damn time, in my intro to film class one question on one of the exams was...

in bram stoker's dracula, one of the actresses(it mentioned her name, i forget) wears a white dress with a certain pattern on it. this dress was inspired by a painting from what era?

stupid intro class and it raped me, though i endedup with an ok grade it took wayyyy too much effort.

We face mostly the same challenges...there are a two English profs and one Computer Science professor I know of who thrive on failing students at every opportunity. But I figure you don't take a class like wine-testing because you want a good mark...you take it because you want to learn more about wine-testing. I see your point, though.

I would guess that is Lucy but I'll be damned if I know what era that was from. I even tried to look it up on Wikipedia and IMDB with no luck.

Me too. I want to go down to that one at Orfield Labs and have a seat. Or even better, have a listen!

Their sound quality room is not anechoic, but more fun to listen in there anyways.

*realizes you meant listen to your heartbeat and not sound in the room...

i think the problem with a lot of classes is they ... can't see the forest for the trees.

no idea how to explain that better.

i woulnd't. i've heard that class is a TOTAL bitch. apparently all kinds of chemistry and tests that are impossible so that ppl won't want to take the class. everyone i've ever talked to has dropped it.

It would be easy if you were truly interested, sort of like the History of Jazz. Non music types and people who don't like jazz thought it was tough, I took it for a free study hall with good music.

i got that question lol

alright i posted my build log on my Max forum and a guy wants me to do and install for him. which will consist installing

-headunit

-speakers in the doors(mid and tweet) w/crossover

-running all power wire to 2 amps + speaker wire

-amp rack

-sub box(for 1-12") sealed

-and deading front doors and entire trunk

how much should i charge for this

Mk had the idea of

"My thought was to come up with a set price for headunit, speakers in the doors(mid and tweet) w/crossover, running all power wire to 2 amps + speaker wire, amp rack, sub box(for 1-12") sealed but charge like 30/hr for deadening (this is with two people doing it) because deadening and sealing is a bitch.... hands down "

any thoughts? :)

You should have sex in a real low noise floor anechoic chamber then and really hear it, this time from the outside in instead of the inside out.

Depends on the customer and how much of a pain he will be and how much of a learning experience it is for the two of you.

I want a couple of those HD amps. The Single-Cycle approach is similar in some respects to a Servo subwoofer...for those who have heard one, you know what that's like. Excellent potential in the HD line and apparently they are priced the same as the Slash series amplifiers....so why someone wouldn't buy the HD series is beyond me.

I'd gladly trade my /'s for a pair.

And I don't mean the ones in front of my name :D

its should be pretty pain less since i just did this install in my car. so i will know what im doin pretty much.

and the guy just wants a figure and if he thinks its right or to much im sure we can work it out. sounds like a good guy with all the goods already he said, and he just doesnt have the time to install it himself.

Scott, let us know how you're liking being out of town if you get a chance.

Assuming that's where you are right now.

No problem, at least I could finally return the favor once.
