My thought was to come up with a set price for headunit, speakers in the doors(mid and tweet) w/crossover, running all power wire to 2 amps + speaker wire, amp rack, sub box(for 1-12") sealed but charge like 30/hr for deadening (this is with two people doing it) because deadening and sealing is a bitch.... hands down

It still says my avatar can only be 100x100. Is it lying to me?

Agreed, Jim. Might have a nap on campus this morning, but probably not.

The woman had me stop at Lifetime today to look at eliiptical machines, in the process the dude really pushed the new Hoist v6

http://www.hoistfitness.com/products/consu...c=1&pid=426

His sales pitch was effective, in particular when he offered to include one for only 1k with the elliptical machine.

I can almost complete a quality, full body workout on one of those dual cable machines. To be completely honest, 1k is pretty steep for that setup. A system like that should be priced around $650-$900.

It lists at $2699 there. If you have recommendations, I am curious. I suppose I should make a thread in the new section :)

on the topic of cars, the list I currently want and have a plan for:

1967 Impala 2drht

1991-1996 Caprice

1960 Impala 4drht

I used to have a 68 Imp 2drht

you did? when?

surprised you'd own a GM

It was the car that made me swear off GM stuff. Now the truck is, every 15 years I make the same mistake I guess. :(

What was wrong with it?

Generally, GMs from that era are the ones I'd trust the most.

Everything that could possibly break, broke. Rear end, trans, defroster, power steering, alternator, starter, wheel bearings, .... I only drove the damn thing for 10k miles as well and it was my grandfathers who worked for a car dealer and maintained everything really well. Generally it was the biggest POS I have ever owned, I replaced it with the Galaxy which never gave me any trauma at all in comparison. It was also probably 10dB's quieter on the road. The Imp was a loud pig.

/\ I should add that it wasn't exhaust noise either as the Galaxies exhaust was way louder, but the car was still quieter...well until you floored it.

Are there any of us here that are happy with our GM products?

Absolutely love my mom's '99 Suburban. We have flogged that bastard over every terrain and weather condition imaginable sans mudholes, rockpiles, and blizzards. Only problem we've had on a routine basis is the number 5 cylinder misfiring when you gun it too hard on a big (steep) hill. 8.5 years, 190,000 miles and still going strong. :cookiemonster:

Hmm, Firefox deleted my Adblock stuff for SSA...weird.

It has been acting up for me too. Don (rudy) has been having FF crashes also.

My uncle owned a Fiero GT once, apparently my dad took it out with him once and absolutely hated the thing :P When I told him about your project, the reaction I got was "one of THOSE?" :)

I guess it was a shock coming from big front-engines (Mustang, Formula 400) to a mid-engine...

You know what pisses me off?

That I didn't realize there was a wine-tasting class here until now.

Screw the fact that it's not in-major, I'm taking that next semester :D

I don't see how any class related to wine could be more difficult than other applied sciences...but I do see how it would surprise people by being more difficult than they anticipate. And the lessons you learn would hold no less value just because the class is difficult. I think you should take it, Jim.

We don't have enough classes like that here. :(
