Welcome to the IHoP

Recommended Posts

Every so often, there is a need for lifting or fitness ideas or suggestions. Matt suggested it a while back, and with the new topic in OT, I thought about it again. Meaning a fitness sub-section for you to go hog wild in, post up info and ideas, work outs and diets etc.

We have a ton of forums here already

I am an advocate for health and wellness, but I'm not sure if a separate section it would attract enough attention. I would use it though ... and I would include pieces from my dissertation as well as actual lecture notes.

I know, and I try hard to keep sections to a minimum and put as much in one as possible. But I would hate to see great fitness info lost 3 pages down in the OT. I will make the sub-section here shortly. PM me with what you would like to name it. If it does not get enough traffic, I can always shift all topics back into the main OT, no big deal. :)

Not to be too sentimental, but we have a very good eclectic group here...I think we would be hard-pressed to find a topic that one of us doesn't have the answer for, audio or otherwise. It's really quite awesome.

You are starting to sound like me. ;)

Yesterday was the wifeys b-day. It went well, took her to Flemmings (a similar set up to Ruth Chris or Mortons), but they under cooked my medium steak, and they messed up the salad. For an ultra-rare high faluten' night out for young parents with bills, I was a little frustrated, but Amanda was happy and that is all that mattered. Her top did get us two free Stella Atoris drafts, not to mention a few of the servers making round about runs to the kitchen so they could pass right by our table. Terps beat UVA on national TV last night, so that was another highlight of the night.

How did you enjoy the Stella Artois? I know it's not for everyone but I have a fridge packed full of them at the moment.

Pics of her in top, asap.

Not in a weird creepy way, though.

It is one of my favorite beers. Ranks up there with Sapparro and Grolsh for me. :drink40:

As for pictures, I should have taken some even just for me to look at. :lickscreen:

Perfect two emoticons.

I have to look, only time I've had it was when I've been in Montreal. I refuse to drink a stout from a can or bottle, only on tap, so I might have a hard time.

What I really need to do is make my own tap/keg cooler & somehow get a fresh keg shipped to me

I don't think I have any newcastle left in the fridge.

It's usually sold out at the liquor board store.

They have it on tap at the training facility bar in Cornwall, only beer worth drinking there since the Guiness is always an old keg (and you can tell the difference easily). It is a little sweet, so I cannot drink too much of it (good or bad).

Who doesn't want a good ratrod?

I know it's not just me, but I really do not like the polished and "perfect" rods...I like flat black, old school, pinstriped, with a bad ass v8.

I'm not a fan of the rat rods, but I love to see the ingenuity. Seeing people transfrom trash into art is great. I'm not too keen on flash and bling either, but I don't like the opposite end of the spectrum. The thing about the rat rods is, that most people don't understand the hard work and blood swaet and tears the people pour into the cars to get them that way. They just see another junker, and don't realize the passion.

Want to read it right now but I must force myself to go to class to do homework. I'm going to be doing some swimming this evening on top of my other workout. Well see How I feel tonight....
