I'm thinking tomorrow is a scotch night.

If only I could bring myself to drink cheaply...I'd have a lot more money left over :(

Life is too short for crap booze.

I've never had scotch.....is it good? What are good brands? How much does it cost? Suggested Mixes or straight?

I smelled scotch once... it was one of the most terrible things I've ever smelled

Must have been cheap.

Straight, or rocks if your a noob. You may even like it a little wet. A starter bottle is around $30 for a 750ml but they start to get really nice around $50.

oh, and Johnnie Walker is crap until you hit Green but for the same money I'd rather have other scotch.

If you are super cheap and just want to try it, Dewars is about the cheapest drinkable scotch in my book.

I dunno man, the whiskey my room mate brought home one night smelled god awful. I forgot what it was called but whooooo was it rough.

pshaw, with how much you drink you can go expensive, a 5th should last you a month.

Well, my best friend from high school usually whacks down a L before 2pm when we are on vacation. He is a bit hard to keep up with. When he opens Scotch (which is all he drinks) he just throws the top away as it isn't going to be needed again.

w00t I'm ready for the camping trip. Bought a case of Miller light, some Rolling Rock and Budweiser. w00t w00t

Yay for camping. Dubious choice in beers, but anything tastes good around a fire.

I thought rolling rock had gotten bought out so when I saw it I was very surprised. It's one of my favorite beers fing05.giffing05.gif

Glen fiddich single malt ftmfw 12 y/o is like 40-50 a fifth . 15 is 60 and the 18 is in the 90 ball park. THey have older ( better ) but unless your looking at winning the lottery soon, it's not something to drink to get drunk off of. Good stuff , just doesn't last very long lol :)

I prefer the Glenlivet but nonetheless have no problems waffing down either.

I'd be lucky to TF two posts per minute (with a single window) if I tried right now. Needless to say I am not going to try.

Are there more bassheads here as of the past couple weeks, or have I just started to open more Fi Forum posts?

Really, I have never been into a liquor store that I can remember around here that doesn't have it. The liquor store less than 2 mi from my house has a whole row of scotches. Nothing over $1200, but a bunch that get close. Gets spendy going in there, they have a great wine selection as well.
