Got my first dose of real car audio here today.

Alpine brought their Sin6 ( bmw 6 series) to the local Visions Electronics. Basically the same thing as The Good Guys in the U.S.

Pretty nifty looking car, ton of FG work as well.

Sounded nice, but the rear speakers made me a bit iffy on actual soundstage.

The subwoofers were downfiring where the bumper/spare tire would be with a port like thing firing into the cabin.

It was almost a IB/Bandpass install since the front and rear wave are totally seperated.

I saw little Xt19's everywhere !

I also played with an 880prs while at the store.

Wasnt to fond of it to be honest.

Ill take my 940mp over it any day, the user interface is just so simple compared to the current h/u's

We have more than 80 Viet restaurants here and I think I have a variety of fish sauces here at my house.

There are probably over 200 viet stores in the greater vancouver area

Same with chinese and japanese.

Hell, they all look the same to me

almost time to go out into the heat and spray the fiero with spectrum

What sort of gun is required to do that?

Sandblasting gun is basically what SS gives you to do it.

They do have those locally, but 10 for $2-3 instead of 50. Shipping eff's it up, but if I spend some more dough the problem is solved.

What do you need them for anyways ?

I no longer have any. My brother just built a house and I used them up. I am not installing anything at the moment. :(

If you can wait until Saturday, I can have you order my Neo 8s as well, and then just pay you the total shipped from your place.

As in BG Neo 8s? Where are you going to put those?

He He He. . . . . . . Wait and see.

mother pucker, just got stung three times on the hand (knuckles actually) while preparing the fiero trunk for the spectrum. some kind of wasp, almost completely orange. Hurt like a bitch but thank god i'm not even close to allergic, it's not even swollen but it'll be itching like SOB tomorrow.

I meant an extra antenna, I assume you have one that is portable?

My mem says that the 8053 has an 1/8in stereo plug on the back and your inno should have an 1/8in headphone output. Plug them together and you should be set. $2 cable from the shack. Of course, you will be using the volume control on your inno as a pre-amplifier and that can be a bit dangerous, but it is a next to free solution.

Cool that doesn't cost anything at all!!! How do I solve the gain issue?

With the volume knob on the inno. I would be curious as to its max output voltage and of course its maxxed unclipped output voltage. Also, does it have any stupid processing to "protect" earbuds from over excursion? If so the lower end might be a bit lame in car.

uhhh it has an treble and bass boost but as far as a "protection" I'd have to check the manual. I'd be real surprised seeing as how this unit can be docked with a home audio setup/car/and walking around or whatever. I'll check and get back with ya.

I have actually never ordered a sandwhich at a viet restaurant. I am always curious as to what people like that I haven't eaten and usually run out and try it. Considering I haven't met anything I won't eat, it doesn't limit things much. *note, I haven't travelled in Southeast asia where I know there are "foods" that I wont' eat

Yeah I know what you mean by going out and trying stuff that others like. The guys from the shop, when I was hanging out with them, took me to a place were they had a dish called "the bowl." It is seriously one of the best things I have ever experienced food wise. It's beef, pork, shrimp if you want it, those cashew nuts, noodles and I think soy sauce splashed on it. I'm sure there are other ingredient's because the dish is spicey but I can't remember what all was mixed in it. Wonderful wonderful wonderful, oh man I might go get one today, hahaha.

Wow I didn't know they actually had Viets out there. Glad to hear you like Viet food and I know which dish you're talking about but we usually put spicy fish sauce in it.

hell it might be spicy fish sauce I have no idea. It really is a party in my mouth though whenever I'm eating it. So many flavors, ahh just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I get paid tomorrow and that'll be the first place I go when I wake up, lol. See, I knew we all had more common interests than just audio ^_^

would 3/4 MDF be overkill for a .5 cuft box getting 250 RMS? I gotta build my underseat box before I head off to college... holla!

Nope!

No such thing as overkill when it comes to enclosures.

i like this pose better. All i did was hand the gun to her, didn't position it or anything. And don't worry it is just a bb gun that's unloaded, safety on and has like a 10lb trigger pull.
