Welcome to the IHoP

Recommended Posts

I did about 60 posts this week. That's quite a pace considering my average is one a day.

Something about having to push start the VW bus in 3rd gear, with dead grandpa in the back, and a 15 year old kid that took a vow of silence because of Nitche.

Friedrich Nietzsche is a preferred philosopher of mine. It's because of him that I've really gotten into existentialism.

Ahh, that forum is dieing slowly.

Wonder if SSA need 50 sections like ROE to pass them in total posts.... :greddy2:

Don't pass out. If you're feeling a buzz, now is the time to start random discussions in the hop.

I just want to kill myself because I've seen every episode of Big Brother this season (and I've never watched it prior to this season).

And yet I'm quite sure I'll watch it tomorrow night.

Never followed that show,

but for SHON, he has not returned our emails and does not seem to be on his forum much and the RD product pushing is growing again.

Regarding philosophy, I should probably be fair and give Spinoza his just desserts.

Not much buzz, just tired and wiped out. Rough week, with a worse one on the horizon.

That's a shame. I'm not totally sure Shon is totally committed to ROE, though it's not fair of me to say that when I said I was then bailed on him for SSA.

In my defense, the members on ROE killed it for me.

Don't know much about him.

If you've never read any of PG Wodehouse's "Jeeves" books, you simply must. Great British humour.

Spinoza's work has highly influenced many philosophers, most notably Nietzsche. His major philosophical positions are ones that I can easily identify with:

The natural world is infinite. Good and evil are related to human pleasure and pain. Everything done by humans and other animals is excellent and divine.

All rights are derived from the State. Animals can be used in any way by people for the benefit of the human race, according to a rational consideration of the benefit as well as the animals' status in nature.

I tried to help clean things up because it was just a bunch of 16 and 17 year olds yelling at each other and then my pm inbox got filled with people questioning things. Anything technical I said went way over everyone's head. Loud, crappy subwoofers were the only thing that mattered. I felt like I was talking to myself and it really wasn't much fun, unfortunately. After that, I was going to start up thestereobox.com with some ideas I had at the time, but decided I wasn't up for such an adventure when the car audio forum segment is a little saturated, in my opinion. And here I am now, quite happy at SSA.

For supra aural cans, the AKG 81DJ's are surprisingly comfortable on the ears. This hard headband....not so much.

Think it might be time to finally finish the Icon review.
