This:

Plus this:

Plus (includes 6 spd):

Plus my powerdyne charger and some rims and tires will conservatively be less than $40k

I have around $15 + the M5 which is somewhere in the $15-18 range so I am not very far off. Out of the $40, $8 was for paint which doesn't have to happen right away :D

Stereo for said car:

touch screen molded in dash with either car pc or H701, 3 way front stage, and dual as big as I can IB sub stage. I'd like to mold the mid, all new gauges and the screen into the dash, tweet probably on the a pillar and 8's in the doors.

Well, you know I have to vote for the Mustang. If you want something really wild, my old man has 4 Mark VIIIs with the DOHC 4.6 lying in his yard. I am about to go yank one out next weekend as a matter of fact.

I do have one problem. With the LS engine, why a carburetor? IMO a real G-machine is classic sheet metal with everything else modern.

Money and ease, if I bought a running GTO engine I'd keep it FI but if I built one I wouldn't. I don't really want to deal with transplanting a computer and such but probably would especially since I plan to use a charger.

As for the 4.6 it is heavy :( My original goal was to do exactly that and buy a Mark VIII and utilize the IRS and engine mating it to a T56 in a stang. However the amount of fabwork required is WAY beyond my welding skills and while my brother-in-law is a professional welder he is also lazy so I'd have to pay him to do it all. It would be cheaper than a shop, but I don't want to push it all that far. If the world works perfect I will buy this fall and be driving next summer.

All women are freaky you just have to bring it out of them.

It only took about 5min after I went back outside to get the old one out.

Now I didn't get instructions with the dash kit so I have to go find some... I'm wondering if it even has the right pieces.

Well, you know I have to vote for the Mustang.

That was my original intent and then I sat in one. You remember how big I looked in your car, I don't really get in it I put it on. :( If I was smaller my only choice would be a 1969/70 The older ones aren't really any bigger and I really want to build something to put some serious miles on. This will be the car I drive whenever I am not: drinking, towing the boat, or parking anywhere suspect. Part of the reason it needs a backseat is at some point I will have to carry at least one kid around with me as well.

Of course, the stang is bigger than the Pantera which I was going to cut up as well but I'd love to fit in some seats that are really comfortable. Perhaps a set out of one of those Mark's you have, with some air bladder bolsters out of a SHO or other car to hug you when really hitting it. Currently to get into a stang without a tilt wheel it requires all sorts of contortionist motions plus I only fit in one way which doesn't let you fidget around at all on longer drives. My goal is to put near 10k on it a year so that doesn't sound like as much fun. I am still trying to figure out a way around that though. Dammit why couldn't I be normal sized!!

Tilt columns are available.
