Shoulda known you were going to link that... :)

I might just have to try that though.

It doesn't have to be that extreme, but the idea is right. Connecting as many walls in as many places as possible will be the most effective. Mostly I'd avoid really big holes and things that are uniform.

Oh, and of course thick heavy walls are your friend....note the 1.5" baffle and 3/4" port in my Rli8 box. That pvcker is heavy!

I saw once where a guy lined the entire interior of the box with river rock :D

Must have weighed a couple hundred pounds, easy...

Weight's a killer on my current project too, going with MDF means lugging 150lb enclosures around.

75lbs with ply is looking much more attractive :)

Well, I do Not want to lug a 150lb+ box (without driver) up and down basement stairs, and I definetly do not want to have to be flipping it around in the woodshop while working on it.

Anything in the woodshop that you want a chain hoist for is to f'ing heavy.

I found someone locally that I think may work out...

The design I ended up with would be hell to ship anywhere.

Actually haven't figured out how to get it in my apartment yet.

That's a problem for August :D

I haven't figured out how to ship anything that big and make sure it arrives in one piece either.

On a palette. I shipped out a box weighing 600lbs today. It wasn't cheap though.

There's always motor freight, but that costs an arm and a testicle to go anywhere.

Here's how you know your life sucks.

You have some friends over for a BBQ. . . You get half-crocked. . . You back your Cobra up to the edge of the garage. . . You place the car in second gear. . . You put your foot to the floor. . . You dump the clutch, grab the brake. . . You burp it into third. . . You can't see anything because the garage is so full of smoke. . . You start choking on the smoke but it's such a relaxing sense of asphixiation. . . You roll out. . . You shut off the car. . . You proceed to look on either side of the block and realize the amount of smoke you just created was enough to cover either side and NOT be able to see anything. . . Then you realize you forgot to film it. . . BUT. . . . . . .

No more mosquitos for the rest of the night! FTW!
