The SRT8 on the other hand again impressed me, too bad it is near impossible to get a hitch on it. :(

I cannot allow myself to buy Chrysler after all the gov't has done for them and they sold out to a foreign company. Not to mention quality is sub-par.

some guy asked about the denon z1 and using the balanced line for it and I replied with this:

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...449#post3109449

basically told him to go to elitecaraudio.com/forum b/c I don't see to many people running a 2k dollar unit. lol

plus those guys actually have experience with said unit.

Try some cuban food. Aside from view on south beach, it's the only thing I truly miss :)

I almost had to go to Joplin MO a couple weeks ago, but that is about as close as I will probably get. Wichita KS for sure though.

It's going to depend on the enclosure it's placed in, as to whether it reproduces the "lows" well...kind of a vague term.

Nothing that says a good SPL driver has to sacrifice low end extension.

Bah, good and SPL don't belong in the same sentence.

so how do the original strokers fit into that equation ? :D

according to ben and kevin, teh strokers must suffer from serious build quality issues as they aren't the biggest subs on the planet. damn ramos, i though you knew that? in order for the sub to be good, and get loud, it must have a huge motor! and cost more too!

and the strokers, well, they were a nice spl accident. i mean, they were originally built for theaters, right? but shove a sub designed for 1000-3000ft^3 room into the cabin that might have 70ft^3, and you get serious output.

ok, gotta run.....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

My experience/frustration from this week.

L/R eq is >> Eclipse, for that reason alone I personally would recommend the 880 over any Eclipse head for an active setup. Perhaps if you were lucky and had an on axis install with equal PLD's in your kicks it wouldn't be as necessary, but I now have my stage dialed in better in my truck than I can get it in the car :(

Obviously the H701, P9, DCX 730, and DCX2496 are better solutions yet again. *tries hard to not buy one

i really wish I had a solution for you.

I would connect just up to a remote battery though. If it is still there you know what it is.

I meant that in the context of "good at sounding like ass really loudly" :D

Same reasoning behind using Altec Voice of the Theater stuff now for stereo :) Won't run into problems with loss of dynamics or compression...
