might be trading the nighttrain in on a streetglide. in pewter denim. a little more comfort on the longer rides while not going full bagger and keeping a hint of style.

also, i'm on vacation next week! partly to remedy the first part of this post, the biggest part is just to road trip!! will possibly be heading towards NC and the ocean! anybody in line from southern illinois to north carolina? will be on the scooter, regardless of which one i own, lol.

matt, i'll know more in a day or so. the wife has a cousin in NC she wants to visit. so you three should be fairly close to NC then? that would definitely be worth the trip!

The Rli8 is really damn impressive output wise in a ported enclosure. Gain on the amp is off and it whacks the front stage healthily. I guess there is nearly 10x the power going to it over the front stage with the gains on minimum, but even with a bump on the levels for the mid/tweet I still have to roll it off 8db on the headunit. I am not willing to gain the amp anymore, but shocked at the output. A little peakier than I am used to, but so far no time alignment or parametric has been applied. I have to say that Eclipse decks are super, super easy to use in pro mode. Not enough flexibility for my tastes, but easy to use. In hindsight, I'd actually rather have another 880 but perhaps over the next weeks my mind will change.

lol, the rl-i 8 is indeed a beast!

got news on teh streetglide...my payment would go up $110 a month. friggin $22k for a motorcycle, lol. me thinks i'm keeping the train. i'm only paying $17k for it, hehe. maybe buy a different seat for trips.

but damn, the glide sure did ride nice. the radio/cd player would be sweet to have on a 9 hour jog as well. 4 years of maintainence included, as well as life-of-cycle warranty on the powertrain.

hell, i don't know.
