Have you ridden anything you like? How long is your inseam? How tall are you? What sort of riding do you plan on doing? Any experience on a bike before (even bmx or anything)? Any brand tendencies? ....

Sort of like picking a sub a little history would help.

well I haven't actually taken any of them out on a trail pur say, just sat on them. Most of the frames I was looking at were 19" or whatever. I'm 6 foot 2. I plan on using it for trails, MAYBE some dirt jumping but I'd be surprised if I did that very often. Yes I've had experience on bmx bikes. I used to ride a lot as a younger person, I was probably 16 when I was riding. I can do bunny hops, pop the front wheel up, if I have a steep enough hill I can do a 180. Any brand tendencies? As in what do I like? If that's the case I like Trek or Specialized otherwise I don't know much about other companies.

Both T & S were founded by Joe Breeze's friends. Small world.

Are you interested in hardtails only or perhaps a softy?

Have you ever looked at any of these?

Ironhorse, KHS, Jamis, Ellsworth, Klein, Dean, Giant, Kona, Litespeed

I've heard of Giant and Kona. I believe we have a Giant dealer if I'm not mistaken. Well in my price range I really could only afford a hard tail couldn't I?

well I guess if I could afford it then sure. But I've only been looking at soft tails I haven't really looked up much info on soft tails. Would it be a better ride?

Personally I like hardtails, but to each his own. I would really recommend riding a few bikes in the $1000 class and seeing what you like before buying. Bikes are very personal and finding one that fits you well is extremely important. Look for a Jamis dealer nearby as well.

Ok well I guess i'll go in and see how it feels on some of the more $$$$$$ Bikes. I'll ask them to size me up on a couple of em and see what it feels like. I'll try out some soft tails as well.

Went out and shot our Ruger Mark II pistol tonight, saw it was horribly filthy so I've spent the last 2-3hrs dissasembling, cleaning, and reassembling the thing. Not quite finished yet either, I took every single piece/spring out of it to clean it all and one tiny piece is being a pain in the ass to put back in.

Then while cleaning the pistol, I hear some scratching outside, I go out to the door and see a 'coon out there which procedes to run off... Little bit later I look outside and the furry bastard is there again so I get the shotgun and by the time I get out the door with the gun and the spotlight the fella is quite aways away.

I'll get that little thevin bandit one of these days.

All this talk about bikes, I need to buy a new rear rim for mine, and redo the rear brakes too.

Your assumption that I actually have AIM isn't correct. Otherwise, I'd be glad to.
