Going to be really hard for me to work now. I just received two phone calls. One says their budget of $400k for our gear got approved and the other was for $500k. It would be hands down the biggest week our company has ever had in one territory!!

wow, very nice

A buddy of mine just bought a 69 Firebird. It will be in the body shop for the next month or so, but then we get to go to town on his door panels. Gonna run something active off a 9813 and to whatever drivers I can fit. He is bringing the door skins and pictures of the inner door home today. :boobs2:

pics when you get the chance :)

We will post up the whole build up, but it will be after I move so hope my house sells. Then the M gets a new sub box first...

The Fbird is at a shop 2 hrs away so the pics will have to wait until she's under paint. I haven't even seen pics yet, but knowing my buddy it will be done right. He rebuilt a totalled Lotus Espirit and used to have a BMW customizing shop. He knows jack shit about car audio, but will do whatever I ask so at least he is smart about it. It is all going to come down to how much dough I can get him to invest in the drivers/amps.

When I was home this past weekend I put some rounds through my competition pistols, made me realize that my right shoulder is dancing the edge to having the rotor cuff f'ed up again. I'm going to have start working on my shoulder again to keep the rotorcuff from killing me.

Its not for a new job, for each new contract proposal, they put the best looking resumes on the proposal to help beef it up. ;)

I feel the same way.

I know exactly what I want, the problem is I'm limited by my budget and where I live :)

So the question becomes what can I fit...

If we had an interconnect demo ring, would anyone be interested in it?

Not me, I use almost all XLR cables.

Found out that purple heart (the lumber) at the lumberyard is only 5.70$ a board foot so I might make a small fullrange computer speaker setup out of some....

Looks like the Honda will be taking over as my SPL vehicle.

Yeah, the Fonkens have quite a following...especially with the FR125's...

I still have a pair of 1cF sealed cabinets that I have sitting around, once the Fostex project gets completed I think I'll start looking for drivers to stick in them...

I just realized that I could probably make some money by building small already established designs out of quality, semi-rare/expensive hardwoods with inlays on some of the higher end home audio forums...

Jim, would people be willing to by stuff that is out of hardwood with inlays and everything?

I'd prefer it be after I move so I can do it in the house. I am more than skeptical.

One problem with hardwood that I see is that it's got some issue that ply or MDF doesn't have...voids and such.

People have beaten you to the punch though, do a search for Fostex on Audigon and you'll see what I mean :)

I'm not a big cable nut either, but I'm all for excuses to try new products...and figure the home audio section here could use some more exposure.

I like the idea of more exposure and have some serious projects for the section, but currently have no woodshop or even a garage I can use. Trying to keep the house clean for selling is a beyotch.
