LT1's have the optispark. It's a female dog too. I had to change mine out in the Z. Took about 8 hours because I took too many smoke breaks (don't smoke anymoer though)

Not cheap either. GM cost is $280. I'd hate to see retail.

LS1 is COP(coil on plug). Or actually, they are not directly on the plug, yet a small coil above the plug. Not a conventional coil pack.

I ordered from GMPartsDirect.com and for the optispark and a new waterpump (thats what caused it to go out from it leaking) it was like $650 or so. Not a fun procedure either. Old coolant begins to smell like the rotten vagina after a couple hours.

For the ignorant, no offense meant!

I beleieve the Caprice used a coil pack. Not 100% sure though. They used a different injection system.

Supa, I have a nice rabbet. It's multipurpose. YOu can easily change it from 1/4" to 1 1/4". Was pricey though.

time to do some research lol.....

anyway, i want the vette bad..but don't know if the insurance hike will be worth it..

what do u guys think...

1987 corvette (needs paint, interior work and motor work, asking $6800, worth about $3000)

1987 bmw 325se (all i know is it's a manual and looks decent inside and out, asking $4500, worth about $1600)

1987 monte carlo ss ( looks good from the road, unsure of year, have no idea yet what they are asking or what it's worth as i haven't gotten mileage or really looked at the car)

any other suggestions? i'm looking to trade my 2002 suzuki maruader 800..worth about $4500...

Vette: too pricey and old for me.

Bimmer: Expensive to fix no matter the year.

Monte: I'm a big G-body fan, so that's my vote. Easy, cheap, only problem will be the doors, Rust is COMMON and they are almost impossible to find.

I say sell the bike, look for a good T-type or GN. Hard, but can be done on the web.

Or put a 383 stroker in the Monte with EFI and a small displacment blower for a good little street bruiser.
