Jeez, you are making me jealous.  Of course adding a center and the BG's seems a bit weird to me only in that the BG's almost need to be on axis which I am having a complex about what the center channel will do then.  P9

From the small amount of testing I have done with them, they sound good to me as long as you arent more then 35-40 degrees off axis, and as long as you are with in 3-5" of eye level.

What do you mean on the complex and center channel?

The complex is with me understanding how putting a speaker in the center of a couple on axis drivers is going to help the stage. I don't doubt you, but I don't see how it will help in the drivers seat and the BG's I thought weren't the best for having more than one sweet spot in your vehicle.

I found this stuff at lowes that is like body filler, only its watter activated. It's like $7 for 4lbs of it (probably close to 3/4 of a gallon). I'm going to see how it works out for a mold.

A WHOLE lot cheaper than Bondo.

And a lot more fragile . Sounds like you got the powdered wood filler that you mix with water. Shrinks like a mofo :)

sean what are you thinking about to replace the PG?

Zapco ref 500.1?

US Amps Merlin MD1?

Orion 1200D?

RF power 500.1?

Kicker ZX 750.1?

hehe

Maybe see if Stephen M has any Miniliths left :fing34:

Hadn't got that far yet, I was looking for a tweeter amp for the truck so I can bridge the PA5532 to the mids and saw some guy looking for the 475. I would prefer to run my sub off a 1chn sub amp instead of bridging the 475 so I thought what the hell. If I do sell it, I will sell the M44 and the P150 as well and replace the whole lot of amps.

/rant

Why the hell aren't there any active front stage amps. Something with 200wx2 and 50wx2 would be perfect.

Mr. Justin , seems we are both after the same thing two seater sq . But with different vehicles. So I got a question sir. Have you messed with TA yet in your truck ? Does it screw up either side ? :)

I use it fully for myself when I am alone, which is 90% fo the time. With all the TA set for the driver seat the sound stage for the passenger seat is on the dash towrd the right.

When I set it up for both seats it seems to be a little left on the driver and right on the passenger. Basically I just TA the mids and highs to eachother on the same side.

With the center channel I wont have to worry about setting it just for the left or right, driver seat or both. I will delay each side and rely on the center to bring the sound stage tword the center.

You just going to run it mono, but with less power like a staging tweeter?

Under the rear mirror in the dash. Use a thick grill material to dampen it a bit that way the reflections off the window wont be so bad.

Still undecided. I actually have been working on the CRX and not had a chance to look around.

I almost ordered an Aura just to listen to it, but then thought I'd get a pair and build a little set of pc speakers. But time > me so I haven't yet.

If I do get a new amp for the Rlp it may be getting a new box too. Thought about building a ported box, the port firing up through the rear midbass hole and the speaker baffled to fire through the ski pass. Would be pretty cool and might solve the "get the bass out of the german car" problem.

It's called "like a rock" and says it doesnt shrink but it will expand if it comes directly in contact with water or humid air so painting or sealing with epoxy is reccomended.

I'm firing up the teleporter. If it doesn't work I may have to fire up the grill.
