Justin may encourage me to go 3 way in the truck with his work.  The dang Extremi would be SO much easier to mount though.

I love my extremis in the doors IB. I dont have the mag in right now and its plenty of bass without the high pass on :)

Once the coustic 4" go in I may not be as happy, dont know yet... If I am not happy and decide to go for the 5.25" you are more then welcome to have/pay shipping on the 4" ones...

Superchargers are actually sort of nice that way.  My SHO still managed 27mpg on the highway, but of course when you put your foot through the floor in town it dropped under 10.  Nonetheless not too bad to be running 370whp and above 25mpg.  Try that with a turbo...it ain't gonna happen.

I beg to differ. All other bases equal, the turbo is always more efficient than the supercharger.

Aargh, LSPCad is SO annoying.

I SO envy you. I wish I could be annoyed by LSPCad.

The turbo is more efficient than a supercharger I will agree but that isn't the point of my comment. With a supercharger it is possible to create decent power without going as nuts on the rest of the engine components leaving you some realm of gas mileage and still building power.

I am just using the free download for a month otherwise I'd hook you up. Part of the frustration is that you can not save so you have to start fresh. Only works for 2 ways too, but what the hell that is all I need it for right now.

x2 +1

Not only are turbo's more efficent in making boost, turbo's can have boost controllers added. When daily driving you can kill the boost to 0PSI. Cut air you cut fuel consumption.

:thanx:

Or use the natural boost controller, your foot. FYI, there are boost controllers available for superchargers and blowers as well.

Hardly, unless there is a clutch for the pulley.

Turbo boost is infintely adjustable as well. Clutched pulleys your boost is either on or off. Adding slightly more air, and not fule, proves ot make the engine run more effiecent. Fule pressure down and boost at 1-2PSI for an INCREASE in MPG.

You want to have a turbo that spools early or else it puts too much back pressure on the exaust. :)

Still nothing compared to the paracitic drag of your average sized supercharger providing similar boost to the same enigne. Then to make the same power you have to up the boost even more.

No really. . .

Turbo boost is not infinitely adjustable. There are more variables to affect boost on a turbo than a...............................

Ah nevermind.

I understand how turbos work. ;)

Not" infinitely adjustable" but a hell of a lot more adjusable when comapred to even a clutched supercharger unless the supercharger has a pressure valve, but then yo uare wasteing energy.

I never got the point of a pressure valve (basically an adjustable BOV) on a supercharger.

There are many 300hp turbo Neon's out and about that make 45mpg on the highway :) I should be making about that... especially since the standalone will let me lean things out while cruising at a constant rpm and not in boost.
