Taledega Nights = Pretty Decent for Will Farrel...half the people in the theatre didnt even get half of the jokes.

Nothing like Ancorman but I'd buy the movie when it comes out.

Doug and I decided to try and attend a show today. We left my house at 5pm, got to his ~6pm, built a system with 2 12" mags, 1 IA 20.1, 1 kenetik 2400 and a couple of boxes we used for the 15" MTs. Which were obvously to big. I slapped a baffle on the top and changed out the ports while Doug hooked up the battery, amp, and all the wires.

We got to the show ~8:30pm. It is an hour drive so we only really worked for 1.5 hours.

Put up a 149.6 in the kick on the TL If I had left the shorter ports we would have easily been above a 150db. Our note is usually 55hz and tonight it was 51hz...

Just thought Id share Mags FTW. We took second and best install...not bad for an hour and a half worth of work

I'm going to be able to mount my amps/cross overs/etc under the box and run all of the wire under the carpet.

It's also going to free up sitting room and storage room.... :woot:

For $300...I'd be tempted to buy an active Xover for $100 and bi-amp the suckers :)

Same here.

These are "office" or bedroom speakers though and it is hard to get a 60db crossover slope with the lower cost active crossovers. I may shave some cost out of them yet...

My partsexpress order is right around 200 bucks with shipping, ahhhhhh.  This crap is to expensive.

I am about to order $300 worth of damn passive crossover components. The dark side is winning.

DCX-2496 FTW!

Sold out the last I looked and the slopes aren't steep enough. I will be getting one soon though for my mains which will be all active.

I want one, but don't really need it until I move and start the home theatre/listening room project.

Hmmmm, decisions decisions... Should I double up MDF and save money on bracing but kill space (and possibly make the box too long for the port to breath effectively) or should I do single MDF, resin and and brace with 1/2" all thread?

I'm thinking the later.

Anyone need a box made now that I have a ton of extra MDF?
