Love the way people jump on bandwagons without ever even seeing or hearing something :)

$180 worth of drivers, $320 worth of components for the crossover -- wow!

are they made out of gold ? :puzzled:

a decent 2-way kit costs around 150$ here. including x-over and drivers.

No, but they are CE filters to allow an 8" RS225 to mate with an RS28A. As a general rule of thumb x-over price should be about equal to driver price for quality, but with a CE it goes up a little.

i'm pretty much a noob when it comes to x-overs and mating drivers. haven't built a single pair of satelites. i use 2 technics monitors i bought from a garage sale. cheap and with all original components.

i may try to upgrade them in the future, but there aren't too many options as far as drivers :(

I actually assumed you meant something else, but considering I haven't heard the Daytons I thought it would be funny to admit that guilt.

Nah , the daytons are the chit . Once you get them , we can start a dayton rs boner. You can drive the wagon, and I'll ride shotgun :D:)

Still working on the crossover, for chits and giggles I replaced the caps with f&f caps and the price went up to $475 for the x-over and that is just with the ff on the tweeter portion. Holy chit.

Oh and the 60uF cap I ignored cuz its too big to do chit. Running FF for that alone would be like $600.

Im going to roll down to the Flemming man himself and have a listen one of these days. I was going to go with Fi but the number of options had my head spinning and I'd rather go with another driver that is proven...

Ordering it Friday...enclosure might get started this weekend. :OhYeah:

Before coils I had the option of double and tripple stack, 3 different back plates, pole and pole vent options, about 16 different spider configurations, and then I asked about coils. I can get it in everything from quad 4 to quad one to single 4. I wanted dual 1.4 or 1.6 but he said the coil winders where lagging on thoes.

Anyway, it looks like a great company and I wish them the best of luck.

However I agree, I thought I was a bad speculator and ASSumer at times...they pretty much shat out the RE bandwagon...slept on it a night or two, then had Fi Bandwagon for breakfast. It has just entered the system, no telling how bad it will get.

Give one person one 15 doing mid-high 140's with low 30's tuning at that price and it will be going for months, years, decades.

Heck almost everything I have bought lately I haven't heard, but of course recommendations from many that have...just not a lot of options for listening to chit around here.
