In the $4k range do you get into the internals or just stuff on top of the short block?

Also, do you do this to all or just some brands?

Yep if your getting into the 4k range, your in the neighborhood of motor swaps. But yeah, the motor is torn completely down. And rebuilt replacing anything and everything to gain performance and durability.

Pretty much just yamaha and seadoo. We had a mercruiser ski in here a while back. Those things are fudgin cool as hell. 500hp on a three seat jet ski that weighs 800lbs :)

Ryan what's the job?

Electrician again. Only temporary. When/if I hear about this apprenticeship, then I'm either going to go with that which means big $$$$$ and benefts, or if I don't get that, I'm going to go to Mobile Dynamics and then open up my own shop. :fing34:

Right on! :fing34: It will be a superb change to not work for an A-hole!

are my favorite lures to throw

mine too, especially if I don't get over excited and yank the hook out before I feel the weight :)

Chit, I didn't even know mercruiser made skis. I have spent a lot of time in their outboard plant (including last week) in Fond du Lac, but never in the cruiser division in Oklahoma though. 500hp in an 800lb vehicle has the power to weight ratio that would make any motorhead smile.

LOL, overly excited....that never happens....everytime I take someone new out we go over and over the feel the weight thing, nonetheless they almost always lose the first two fish.

Yeah the motorheads smile, and the coast gaurd cry and say they are unsafe. So mercruiser stopped making them :)

Especially using a scum frog over matted weeds, you really need to wait to feel the weight. That is a stellar explosion though coming out of a blanket of green.

Effin coast guard. Safe, who cares??? We need more methods of increasing the odds of Natural selection working. At this point in history there are way too many dumbasses that wouldn't be around if we weren't so protected.

Kind of funny though, with the passing of the new law. It has the dgif spread so thin they are going crazy :D

They have moved in here locally to help out the dgif . They passed a law last year that says if the water is publicly accessable (sp??) a game warden MUST be on the water during ALL day light hours :)

If they tried that here, we would need to hire another 14500 game wardens. LOL

I had the same game warden ask me four times to see my fishing license last year in the same day :D

I have only been checked once in my life. For the past three years I have averaged close to 80 days on the water too.

We get locals, in fact the hire unqualifieds sometimes not as wardens but as boat cops. Just hire some aszhole with a chip on his shoulder. Pulled me over for sitting on the fiberglass near the edge of my boat  full check on all the she-i-o and all because I was moving at about 2mph...

We don't actually have those, local DNR only.

That is great! They don't normally board here, they make you board their boat for breathalyzers and such.
