My Girl Friend had to write a 5 page Essay on any singer of her choice for her Exam grade for chorus. She chose Bob Marley (trying to impress me i geuss, lol) and i helped her write it. Im thinking about posting it. It is really a good quick read to understand why he sang about what he sang about and how his music came about.

Does it annoy me? yes when taken to an extreme. But you have to look at it as a dialect just like a southern accent (which you are obviously a sympathizer of) or a norther accent or a midwest accent or what ever. More than the rest is the southern accent which makes up its own slurr of words just like ebonics. But it can be carried to an extreme as well just like ebonics. There is ebonics, then there is "WTF did you jsut say you illiterate hung of fermenting garbage?" and then there is southern and there is "WTF did you just say you RV-as-a-permanent-home pile of burning red-neck white trash?"

I speak with a southern accent, so yeah.

Spanish, on the otherhand, is an entirely different language and other than its roots in europe and latin shows no similarities to english. Word order and phonetics are all completely different. Not even mentioning the dictionary. Speak it, fine, hispanics largely take over miami, fine, but im not speaking a word of it to order a hamburger in miami.

why not? double kicks were absolutely insane..and korn gets low as well....and the list goes on...slip knot, disturbed, avenge sevenfold..all have stellar drums..and the s18x did a pretty damn good job of reproducing them....

but dennis is correct..i HAD a s18x..it's been traded...and it's still in the same box doing the exact same thing...kicking ass.

jim is also right...just because my truck once housed 324in^2 of massive sub powered by 4kwrs doesn't mean i'm all about the hip hop...when that represents an audiophile, i quit.

also, i dislike southern bigotry as well. i'm not one to say white power and i don't believe because i'm white makes me superior, but i don't think we need to "dumb down" the nation with ebonics. why compromise intellect with slang? it's already part of the culture, there is no need to teach it. but hey, let's not make kids learn anything they can't get off a rap album..i mean...math is important in rap. i mean counting money and ho's and rounds in your gat is of utmost importance. let's not forget repeating what you say 54 times in a single song...gotta keep it simple. english is hard.
