Frosticleas.... I need advice.

Go broke for audio or not? I have a chance to buy something I've wanted for a little while at a decent price..... but it would all have to go to the credit card

I'll prolly buy it anyway but I need to act like I tried to get someone to talk me out of it.... on an audio-related message board :ugh2:

Going broke for audio is well worth it, I think you ougth to (even though you didn't ask my opinion, I don't care).

i was happy witht he price, so long as it holds up, supposed to have a lifetime warranty.

These people had to drive at least an hour, but didn't ask where they are actually located.

Perhaps...I've always tried to avoid the CC, even if it meant waiting a while for what you want....unless the deal is simply too good to pass up.

I bought a preamp from this brick & mortar place near Seattle advertising on Audiogon...advertised as cosmetically flawless. Receive the preamp yesterday, it's clearly seen better days, tube's basically worn out, scratches on the front panel...check minus. Still works, but probably worth $200 less than the ad suggested.

Got this really nice guy on the phone, said it wasn't a problem to send it back and refund it...would even cover the cost of shipping back to them...sweet.

They might not know how to write a classified ad, but at least their CS is decent.

it doesn't work? works for me

glad they solved your problem, seems like they had a different definition of flawless, glad that they handle theirselves well though.

It's funny going to the cheapest gas station round these parts and only being able to afford <6.5 gallons.
