Small Sundown Build

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks this is my small commuter car build. I picked up a 09 corolla coupe of months ago did some small mods. I started off my system with a eclipse 7200 headunit, mb quart qsd216 in the front, zapco iforce 6x9 in the rear, jl audio 300/4, n 500/1v2. With some fosgate p1s that i had from my previous car. Then I wanted something that was louder after askin jacob a million questions i got a saz-1500d and nightshade 15. I also bought a powermasters 2400, big 3, ran 0 ga to the amp, n kept 4ga for the mids amp . I got a box made from James from Tech12volts.com Thanks for his help, its a 3 cu ft box + port tuned to 35hz. I just wanted to thank Jacob and James for there great customer service and there help. Heres some pics of my car of the old stuff and new. IT POUNDS AND SOUNDS GOOD.

Thanks guys, now i need to replace the 300/4 to 100.4. Hopefully it will fit runnin out of space. lol

Why would you do that? That is a third of the power and JL makes the best amps in the world...

id ditch the rear speakers and replace the fronts with a more efficent speaker and bridge the j/l to give the speakers some power. look into something like cdt hd-62 180wrms and have a much better sensitivity 92.6db vs 85.5db

The CDT HD-62's are good speakers. They are actually better than a lot of high end components even though they are entry level. One of the best setups for the money when it comes to components is:

CDT HD-M6 mids

CDT DRT-26 tweets

CDT EX-560i xovers

Yea the fronts do need more power, So basically that would be a 3 way setup. Cant you jus run a active setup then, since i can change my deck setting to 3 way, n ditch the crossovers that came with the components.
