From: bjfish11 - enclosure material question

Recommended Posts

Seriously asking people if they can read is getting a little old, especially when it's you that is misinterpreting what people are saying.

Interesting. You purposefully spin my question and then begin to argue against your own claim. A strawman at its "best." I asked whether the individual read the whole thread, as his comments did not follow what was already posted. There's a world of difference between that and your disingenuous assertion asking whether one can read. Too, if you can illustrate how I misrepresented a post, please do so. Just saying it is equivalent to blowing smoke.

first.... he's saying that you are doing the exact thing as him and saying that a .6 box will be "better" than a .9.

How does he know without listening to the setup in the car, as he as no idea as to the room gain and in-cabin response. Why do I feel like I'm repeating myself? Clearly, you've read my others posts and we still get this gem of an argument. Please illustrate how such a thing is possible.

No way around that, you might be using the median of their recommended values, but even if those values were the range of acceptable that in no way means the median will be proper for your application.

How do you know, seeing that you've just seen a pic of the trunk and have no way of gauging the in-cabin response?

more on this for second.

Okey-dokey

Second, not all 8s behave the same way, and he never said they do...

Why paraphrase when the original comment is located just above. To wit:

"I haven't used that 8, but every ID sub that I have played with preferred the enclosure on the larger side of their recommendations."

1. As I've posted earlier, I've also played with a variety of ID subs and my opinion differs. Seeing how I have to listen to the system and not him, his point is moot from its inception.

2. Thinking that a totally different driver is similar to those he mentioned is simply ignorant. Given this factor, my point stands.

ID is a company, not a length....

And, a Cocker Spaniel is a dog, not a cat. So what?

Could you rephrase that please in a manner that's understood by other humans?

Third, Beating your wife can be fun, and it really is a great stress reliever...

This isn't even remotely funny, regardless of the intent.

...don't be an ass and knock something you haven't tried, it's insulting to us purists. :ehh:

clap.gif Do I need to salute?

I was going to stay out of this, but it's hard to resist. I like to think of myself as a sporting man, but this is like shooting fish in a barrel. Now, do you have any relevant pointers relative to my constraints, in lieu of uploading gibberish? I'm not holding my breath.

Are we finished or would you like to go for another round?
