reconing, who to talk to?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've got an AA Avalanche 12 that I purchased about 4 years ago. Last year it started cutting in and out intermittently so I shelved it saying I'd deal with it later. I had it in a 1.25ft^3 sealed box on a 350W PG amp. I don't get any grinding noises when i push on the cone and see no physical damage. Can anyone tell me who I can get in contact with to possibly get this thing repaired, assuming it's cost effective? I really enjoyed the sub while it worked. When I bought it, I was looking for a low priced sub with XBL^2 ( used to have a Brahma) and this sub was perfect. I just read that AA is in the process of a merger and there really isn't a whole lot of info on their site.

P.S. I'm curious if anyone could tell me what happened to Dan Wiggins and Adire Audio? I've been out of it for a while and was shocked and disheartened to see Adire had closed their doors. Like I said, I had a Brahma 12 years ago and it was fantastic!

AA is now owned by Scott, the owner of Fi.

AA products are sold through dealers, Fi is sold direct on the internet. You will read here and there that they are the same products, but there are differences even though people seem to think are the same just from the outer looks.

Scott has recone kits for the Avalanche, or he can recone them for you if you cannot recone it yourself.

What is your zip code and I can get you a quote.
