tweeter mounting locations

Recommended Posts

i am having someproblems finding a mounting position for my tweeters. If i made a box for them and mounted them on the floor but level with the bottom of seat will they sound bad? they will not be obstructed and they will have plenty of room to play.

i am concerned with having a complete full sound. i want my music to blend well with my subs. they are oing in a lincoln towncar.

someone should come by and correct me but this is just what i understand...

usually you would but them close to the speaker on the door or up by the window sails. im currently moving mine around trying too find a good balance of stage height? i have them in the factory sail pods. they are little bright but the staging is decent... i also switch the polarity. next im going to use some velcro to position them on the door and later try down by closer to speaker. basiclly it depends on your equipment and car. what kind of tweeter/components to u have?

idk if your box on the floor is the best option...

You've got to put your tweets in context with your mids for optimum results. I've heard that for best stereo imaging, you should have your tweeters no further away from your mids than 6". Many like to put them in the A-pillar.

Depends way too much on the tweeter & processing to answer without more info.
