I'm between the two HU

OK! My HU got jack a couple week ago and i've been looking to buy a new one.

my budget is about $350.I ownly listen to CD's and MP3's

which do you guy suggest

well in all seriousness you really can't go wrong with either. They are both very similar. I personally have used both. I like the menu setup on the Pioneer more than Alpine, but the Alpine seems to have a bit better EQ / Time alignment. There are pros and cons to both, but basically what it comes down between these two units is personal prefence. Search this forum and numerous others; you'll find many topics comparing these two.

now for my vote:

ALPINE FTW!!!!

I have the Pio 880.

I love it. I was in your shoes exactly. I think the Pio is easier to use, and looks more finished.

I, too, have an 880. I haven't used it much because my car loves to quit on me every 5 minutes, but the CD player is GREAT! I used to only buy Alpine, but Pioneer has won my heart with this one!

I'd buy the 880. Not so sure on from there though, I paid less for mine BNIB nearly 2 years ago.

L/R eq ftw.

*assumes you are going to use the built in crossovers
