im thinking of giving my bl's and 1500D to my brother and saving up for some BTL's and a new amp. ive decided i dont really care about good sound quality with my subs....i just want loud ass bass something that doesnt sound horrible, and something that can take abuse, and i know these can...and i love Fi subwoofers.

i know autotek makes good amps, but would this be a good one to power 2 12" BTL's or is it too much?

also, they are rated at 4k watts rms, but how many watts do you think i could get out of them?

never had any problems with them, so i cant say i agree.

and from what i have heard, there amps power output is underrated....but thats just what i heard.

i have owned many autotek amps... also hifonics... mb quart... alll the same mother company... how much power are you looking to get>?

i highly doubt that amp will give that amount of clean power....... you should really check out some saz 3k's

well yeah i know that amp will....but i was looking for somethin less expensive.

i have a long time to save up so i guess i could, but if i did that, i would want that amp to last me a LONNGG time because i wouldnt be buyin another one anytime soon after that.

that amp costs half what i paid for my car.

12'' BTLs are not a great idea for daily. I could be wrong,but I remember Scott saying something about the cone and spiders having clearance issues. Though I'm not totally confident I'm right, you may want to do some research on the topic. I believe he sells 12''btls mainly or stricktly for spl only setups. I would e-mail Scott or nick to make shure it would be fine for daily. Maybe they've changed em since, because I remember this was an issue a long time ago

you can get them for daily setups as well and i have seen it many times before.

well thats when we get back to CLEAN power....... i dont know anything about that amp...

but i do steer away from anything made by maxxsonics these days...

im not trying to put you or what you want down... i just dont want you to be sad down the road ya know.

and the goliath is unstable, the mosfet feet break quick, input and output driver boards are a JOKE!... and thay only make a few OEM parts a year for repairs.....

CIA is the maxxsonics repair center.... average 11 month turn arounds on repairs...

my first question to jacob when i found sundown.... DO YOU DO INHOUSE REPAIRS>> AND HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE IF MY SUNDOWN AMP BROKE>

he told he repairs are done quick.. and if it cant be fixed then he would replace it.

after doin some browsin on the saz-3000d i think im just gonna save up the extra cash and get that.

i havent seen anything negative about them...not to mention you have been using the for quite some time now w/o any problems.

i havent really considered a set budget....i am saving up as much as i can by next august for everything. i know what i need to save for the subs and electrical i plan on buying...the amp is the only thing left i need to figure out.

i dont want to go overboard, but then again i dont want chitty quality, cause ive seen what happens when you do.

i bought my goliath from a man on ssa... this was long before i knew about ssa....

anyhow... ray told me... IF YOU WANT REAL POWER GO WITH SUNDOWN MAN.

and me i was all like NAH NAH I WANT THAT GOLIATH 5000 WATTS MAN!

he said alright... ill put it in a box and send it to you.... i said COOOOLLL...

i called ray back a week later...... ray... your selling me this golaith.. what are you gonna be using now.. he said.. SUNDOWN BABY>

1 month later my goliath is off at repair and im calling ray again. RAY>>> TELL ME MORE ABOUT SUNDOWN. and he did. and i never looked back....

i bought a sundown amp... when i got my goliath back i sold it right away.....

and when i bought it from ray... HE HAD JUST GOT IT BACK FROM REPAIR>.. i boight it and sent it off to repair. its a cycle.

kinda off topic from my op, but would the 12" nightshade be comparable to the BTL you think?
