Fi.SSD 15

Recommended Posts

Okay people told me that a 18'' fi.ssd wouldnt fit in a 2004 chevy aveo. but im going with the 15'' fi.ssd. i know they say the fi.ssd 15's and 18's belong in a ported enclosure but what about a wedged enclosure? wedge enclosures are very loud their basically SEALED but they use your whole car as a bandpass and it gives you a 10-20db increase. most people dont know about them thats how you get the maximum slam out your subs. Please Reply back.

thanks guys:)

I am confused on what you are asking and who in the world said of believes that a wedge box is going to gain that much output.

10-20 db, damn man! I don't know what you mean by wedge enclosure. Just a sealed wedge?

I am assuming he is talking about those pre-fab style bandpass boxes with the plexi window in the front, where the subs are angled into each other. At least that's what came to my mind when he said that. I'm confused of all this

:wtf: are you talking about? You know, theoretically of course, to gain only 3 decibels you need to double your power or double your cone area. I'm interested as to how you are going to even triple your cone area by using a wedge box versus a ported box.
