well according to wut all the gurus round these parts are tellin me...6x8's arent really good and its better to make an adapter for 6.5's.

thats what im going to end up doing when i figure out how.

Most definitely. You really want to put in 6.5's. Really. Really.

Why JVC? Personally, I am only interested in Pioneer, Alpine, or Eclipse but probably for different reasons that you can about.

this years models jvc are way better than years before imo. but id go with pioneer or eclipse.

Pioneer FTW I have heard great things about eclipse but never used them myself. I had 2 JVC HU and didnt like them

It isn't related to shape, just engineering which the oval shapes seem to not get any of. :(

Not true. Either shape can be designed to be just as rigid as a round shape.

alright so whats the final verdict on why 6.5's are better

Generically speaking they actually engineer them to sound good. You can't say that about the 5x7, 6x9 or 6x8's.

It sounds like you are going to do what you want anyways, so enjoy wasting your money :(
