I will get some comparison pictures next to the Massive Audio sub once I pull it out. Thanks for the comments. I can't wait until it all gets pulled together.

This should be a killer install.

I'll say it again, the Xcon dust cap has to be one of THE BEST looking in the industry.

Nice woofer there man!!!!

I'll agree with that. :fing34:

Let's get this going!

It's slowly coming together. I'll let you know when I get a design together so we can get to building!

thats gonna be a sweeeet set up right there. Great work so far.

I completely believe this as well.

This should be a killer install.

Again, I agree and can't wait to find out!!

Agreed. :wacky:

I still have to run 1/0 power and ground, finish the amp rack, build the box and center console but I am waiting on some goodies from Knu and Parts Express and for the final specs on the sub. I may have a small update later tonight. :hyper:

I put the grommets in for the wiring. I'm not sure what I want to use for the oval at the bottom. I tried making a mold out of fiberglass using the old foil and tape method and it just didn't turn out. Back to the drawing board for that. Any suggestions you guys have would be great!

Murphy's Law struck my engine bay today. Somehow while I was wiring up the new battery terminals, the negative side fell onto its post and the positive was hooked up and a connection from the positive fell onto one of my brake lines thus melting a hole and starting a brake fluid spray and fire. That was fun!... Not.

Now I have to take it to the shop and get that fixed while my ball joints are being replaced. Project is officially on hold until I get out of the FML funk.

I'll be able to make progress on the box for the xcon this weekend. Plans are to go 2.5 cubes tuned to 30 hz using a 3" aero. Sub rear firing and port down firing. The box is going to be bolted to the brackets that the previous box was bolted to in between the front seats.

Parts Express is not delivering until Wednesday and the wiring will be cleaned up in the days following that. All the pieces for the box are cut, they just need to be assembled. Internal airspace will be 2.46 cubes gross, I may end up a bit on the small side for ported specs but we will see how it goes.

todd.brust seems to think that putting a relay in to split the remote turn on wire between the two amps was a mistake. Anybody have opinions on this or pros/cons of using a relay vs. just using a jumper between the remote turn ons?

Casey, get it right, I never said it was wrong. I suggested running off your ACC wire in your ignition harness, fuse it and not have to worry about blowing out your remote on your cd player. Then you could eliminate a big ugly relay and clean up some of those wires!

F-ing nOOb :P

Ouch.... I guess I couldn't understand you while you were attempting to break everything in my garage with your extreme ADD episodes. I'm sorry

But as for the relay, if it is hidden behind the seat it cannot be ugly and how common is it to blow the remote turn on? I haven't heard of that very much but since you dubbed me a noob, I guess I haven't been around long enough. Again, thanks for your help yesterday.

You won't believe what I've seen at work. Never doubt the stupidity of people.

Sorry about the ADD though, I forgot what else I was going to say.

It is ok, really livens up the day. I consider it a good day when no one gets injured by the 25 year old table saw that randomly stops in the middle of a cut. Never using that thing again!

Looks great..

Thanks :fing34:

I had the pleasure of hearing this yesterday and I was very impressed. It's a low end monster to say the least!
