Running it that low, if it will even do it on a daily basis, will cause it to run hotter than it was designed. Excessive heat will shorten the life of any amp.

So if I had an amp like the Massive P3000.1 or Directed 2400D, which would give 3000~ and 2400~ W @ 2 ohm respectively, they would last longer?

I guess the Orion 2500D won't be any good to me. Unless I had two.
