fi btl power

i have no CLUE were to go i want 2 btl 18s but i want to push them with a amp that wont crash on me so. some 1 told me Hifonics BXi at 2600 rms is a good amp but it is over rated buy 400 watts then i was going to go with Massive audio p3000.1 3000 rms 6000 peak 1 per sub .but that might be over kill and some 1 on ths form said them amps are trash so what do i do. go with a rf amp and spend all my money im lost help?

p3000 are not that great but will be ok if you have the electrical saz 3000d is a much better amp and are cheap for the quality. you will need a killer electrical to power that much amp be prepared to spend a lot on that. daily setup will cost even more for electrical if just for competing a ton of batts should be enough but for daily you will need atleast 1 300amp alt and a bunch of batterys.

If your only looking for 3000 watts for the PAIR you need to look into the BL's. BTL's can handle 2500+ watts EACH!

I'd say either go w/ a Sundown 3000d per sub if you can handle it electrically and finacially, or a RF T2000bd per sub, or something like a RF T40001bd for both.

Actually, he may be better off getting a batcap 8400 and using the charger that comes with it. 80 lbs vs several hundred lbs and it has more power. Much cheaper and less problematic. I got the chance to see one of these in action pushing 2 Zapco 9.0XD's with 8 cv 15" and it performed very well. These things turn up on ebay and can be had for around $5-$600.00.

Sundown is the way to go. They are a major player in this forum, and mr Fuller and the forum members will give you way, way more support than you'll ever get from a major brand company. Take advantage of the Sundown 1500 sale and I think you'll like the results. Read up on the sundown product, people love it.

Honestly the sundown 3k or a kicker 2500 would be a great choice. The Hifonics amp will do fine, but obviously more power generally= more output.

Being that the BTL is the MOST efficient subwoofer that Fi sells at this point, I'd get in on the SAZ-1500D Sale. Buy DVC2 woofers and strap two of the 1500D's on them.

Then later on down the road, you could sell the 1500's as they keep their value VERY well, and buy two 3000D's.

I wouldn't try anywhere near that amount of power at the moment, it's a recipe for coming back on here asking why your tinsel leads melted, or the surround ripped, or any one of many things happened

plus unless you have the power to run any of those amps you listed, i wouldnt even try for somthing that high. the sundown is a very reliable, user friendly amp. look for posts about what people have to done those amps that you listed on stock alts, i bet you find a bunch of FS threads on burnt up amps cuz they tried. learn from there mistake.

Ab 500.1 = almost the same thing as the Atomic 5000.1.

The 7000.1 is a totally diffrent beast.
