Lanzar NEO 12 teardown

Recommended Posts

Well, I finally blew this little sucker. Tough to believe, but this little $15 dollar driver actually sounded good and performed rather well in a minute .33cubes. I was intrigued by the design so I decided to tear it apart. Have a look.

Motor removed.

Coil. It's a little burnt, but not much. It appears as if the winding has broken, but I can't tell for sure.

All done.

wasn't that in your truck like just a couple days ago??

That is one of 2 that I have. Got both for $30 on Ebay. This particular one had been run for over a year no doubt seeing a near fully clipped signal from the Crossfire. Pretty good if you ask me, especially for the price. Funny thing is when I won the auction, I thought it was for one driver, yet 2 showed up. Who am I to complain?
