im now obsessed with the kenwood ddx812

The easiest way to get over that obsession is to look at a DNX-8120. You'll forget all about that DDX.

i like the jvc's and kenwoods for their options the most, the removable screens are pretty nice, alpine however is the king of addons but they are pricey. Clarion has some nice units this year as well with nice addons.

However..i want the sony one :(

But it's all about the navigation...actually the wife insisted that I get the unit with the nav.

If its all about the nav then go with the kenwood. They come with garmin nav. Alpines are nice too I just got the IVA-W205 today.

I'm a fan of the Alpines, simply because of the processors :)

But then again, I don't care about navigation features or any of that...

I'm not looking for any nav stuff. I just go on a lot of road trips and im a delivery boy so I'd like to watch some dvds rather than listen to the same music all the time.

Anyway is the 5k worth the money or should i look at a different brand. All I have owned my whole life is pioneer headunits so thats why i started out looking at that on.

Oh and in installation is there a way to bypass the parking break wire.(I know this is gonna bring some bad replies) Not intended for me to watch it but when i go on road trips and such it would be for my buddies to enjoy.

Depending on the unit grounding the wire works just fine. But apparently some of the units require a bypass modual u would have check to when you decide what unit you want.
