I didn't think the rli-8 uses a quad stacked motor. I'd think it's some big SPL-type, like Atomic or DD or something.

Not an RL-i. Motor's WAY to big. Doesn't look like any production driver I've seen. My guess wold be something totally custom that someone made/had made.

Could it be a 12" RD Audio SHW with an extra slug? I know that the 10's you actually have to split the box because the motor is wider that the basket (11" If I remember right).

Well, have you asked the guy who the build house is? Also ask what size coil the sub has on it? Duran is also right it's a waste of a good sub.

one will need cactus power to push that thing, lol. a friend is on team cactus, james herren, and the subs are the only thing he won't run. at least not right now. still hooked on the solo xs. but then again, kicker has been very, very good to him.
