2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Recommended Posts

My opinion, it's an abomination to the name. . .

Guess I'll have to see one in person before I can truly judge. I can't tell you how many cars I've seen photos of and hated, yet when I saw them in person, I liked them.

With all the hype and the build up, this better be 2x the value of the mustang.

My feelings too.

I wish amarecian companyies could also make a half way decent interior. For a country full of fat lazy people we make the poorest worst ergonomic cars ever. The E class benz is the Euro version of a crown vic and ohh... about 30000% better for comfort.

This car looks like the new charger to me. If it's more than 22K for the base model I think it will have trouble getting anyone than red white and blue good old boys to buy it.

eh.. engine is unimpressive to me.

6.2L and you get 422 ponies. Torque is equally unenthusiastic.

Of course the transmission could be absolutely off the chain, but we'll have to wait for Car & Driver to put it through it's paces.

I could deal with that interior. I'd like to see all of the colors on the second promo shot.

I'm still trying to look for something on the exterior that screams Camaro.

GM's going to be around in 2010?

I'd say they're being optimistic :P:D

Well, there's the fender plaque that says, "camaro" in their classical lettering. The only part for me that really gives it away is the roof line. The forward-view shots really bring it out, and the side shots as well. Tom, post a couple shots of yours and you'll see what I mean. It's almost dead on.

Yeah, it definitely has the coke-bottle shape. There's a few other cues as well: the quarter gills, sunk-in head lights, the RS model's driving/reverse lights, the pair of large, round instruments, the 4 console gauges

I semi like this car.

Still just like the other cars, Mustang, Charger, and Challenger etc, they all look to big and bulky for me.

But maybe its just me, I like the look of old cars made out of more metal than anything else.

So I need to get with the times I assume.

And I don't totally understand the whole "Lets make a new car look like a old one". The whole retro thing confuses me. The past is the past, and lets keep it that way.

Last to the game and the ugliest of the three, GM fails again :(

If they don't start using more Holden and Opel platforms they are screwed.

Its just to kind of bring back memories. Its like "old inside new". I mean I can't say I don't like it. But I also can't say I would go and buy this car. It's only make to float some people's boat, not everyones.

x2

Next they should make a new/old monte carlo. But Gm should take some pointers from Dodge. The Challanger is by far the closest match to the original.
