Pioneer P9 problem

Recommended Posts

So I was changing out a CD in my P9 on Saturday and the HU motor to open up the face does not open all the way up. It opened all the way open and spit out the CD today. I have taken it apart and hit it with compressed air and checked, Ramos and I did not see anything showing wear.....any ideas?

What's that circuit board grease called? I'd shot some of that on the gears.

Did it make noise when you tried to eject it? Or was it just sitting still.

My 860 MP does not want to open when gets hot here(94+F). But after it cools down, it works fine

I figure it is a design flaw or something? I know this doesn't answer the question. But, it is an angle

to think about.

we checked the lube(haha) and it was good.....I will try it again tonight when it cools down.....anyway I though this MIGHT cause me to cancel the Elite trip.....but Matt has been nice enough to let me use his Alpine 9861/H701 combo.....I hope it does not come to that though as I am calling the local Pioneer service rep and see what they can do....wish me luck

hey fool. i still have the alpine d105 with the flip out screen, so if you need to use it, let me know. it will probably be easier to use the 105 instead of the 9861, but that will be your call.

first the P9 and now the f'n window......all the sound deadening in the doors is starting to seep. I guess I need to take the doors off and put some ensolite over it all....Jesus!!

The two pieces of the stuff in your truck that we used on the rear deck of dave's car has seepage :( I swear his car was owned by satan. it's the freaking hottest place on the face of the earth.

Same thing for the civic. Little black car, no tint, ( 3 water bottles melted for reference) and the SS Dpro is going strong.

Well after some hard work last night Vladd and I got the doors done. When Matt had shown up I had the door panel off and alot of the old sound deadening off. There was a good 5 square feet rolled up onto itself inside the door skin(FUN!!!!). I had to relay some of the new stuff we got plus something special for the midbass backwaves!! I just want to thank Matt for his help(cutting Lexan sucks major balls).

As for the P9 Heather is going to be taking it to a local repair center today(it is listed on Pioneer's Website as the only autherized repair center) and the guy I talked to yesterday said it was a max of 10 day turn-around, so Elite Summer Nationals is safe.......
