seeing the Z15 doing a 150.3 with 2 3000D

DAMN

slap 2 more 3000Ds in there and do some more testing with the proto

did you try any tricks with the amps?

setting up the subsonic filter and bassboost for burps?

I have not tried any tricks with the amps for either setup - just basic testing.

Since the Monster is to be re-designed I will wait until we get the next version in to test four 3000s :)

New best with two 3000s :)

We re-built it with just three spiders.

Again this affirms my notion that the setup with 5 spiders would have liked to see more power.

May try the three spider version with four amps to see if it continues to gain too.

Just doing it for fun / R&D in general now!

The 157.5 is Outlaw - the 154.5 is legal on the dash, sealed up.

10s will not happen in these... 10" magnet slug.

Robert,

Working on tweaking more out of it first before adding more power, but it is on my to-do list!

jacob-

HURRY UP!!!!!!

i want to run these in the mini so bad. how does the one u have hit the lower notes? the MT's hit them ok, but not the best, although MT's never seemed to like too low of notes either way IMO.

either way, theyll be a chit ton louder just by swapping from MT's to these :)

Best we could get with two amps and a charge all night long on the batteries.

Tried four amps:

4amps_1.JPG

* Three amps back here, one under the other on the rack.

4amps_2.JPG

* Wire mess of epic proportions

We did NOT gain from four amps. The amps were at double the impedance of before and I know my battery bank is not enough for all four... BUT I think the sub just completely ran out of excursion, it is MOVING. We did not damage the sub at all with four full volume burps on four amps, though :)

see i want a pair of these for daily...... but i in no way want to run 8 3000ds

but if your saying i can run 2 15's off 4 3000ds......... then i think im getting warm and such inside.

Realistically you can run one 3000D on each no problem - we aren't even using a stiff suspension on it any more, just three spiders like the stock Nightshade to get these results! It will get going well with one 3000D daily :)

6 batteries not enough for 4 amps?

do you remember how much the voltage drop was?

The D1000s are only 48 lbs each vs. almost 80 lbs for larger 12v batteries - a bit different game :)

I drop to 14.9 during a burp with the four amps.
