will this cause a heating issue?

Recommended Posts

hi, my truck has 2 jump seats. ( one on each side) and i only need 1 so i figure that i can use the empty the space to mount my sax100.2 for my 2 sdl v1 12" and my soon to be sax100.4 under the driver's seat and use the passenger side as the access to the one jump seat so it wount get kicked or anything. and i am wondering will this cause any heating issue's with the sax100.2 because it will have a cover on it to make it look farirly stock, i was thinking of maybe adding a cross flow type fan but i figure i would ask before i go ahead and do it. if u want i can most pics of it tomorrow,

Lets see some pics - if it has decent ventilation it should be fine, but a fan is always a good measure if you think air flow will be constricted otherwise.

I would use a fan since you will be covering it in the compartment. Even an 80mm fan blowing out, it should draw air in from that cavity w/ vents then out.

I'd put it on the opposite site of the slits, so the fan draws air from the slits, across the amp, and out of the cavity. Doesn't matter which side of the amp that is, really.

I bet it sucked to remove those seats. I think they're welded in.
