questions from a member...

Recommended Posts

Hey Jon.

I want to order all my new equipment today or tomorrow but i wanted to make sure it will all fit and hookup properly i have a few questions if you knew just quick answers to any that would help alot.

Setup:

(2) 15" FI BL

(2) Saz1500

(1) 1 trunk battery (suggestions would be great)

Here's the questions...

- I can only fit around 7.3 cubes before displacement so it'll come down to just under 7cubes.. This should be enough airspace since its within the recommendations of FI 3-4cubes each. (2) 6" aeroports is what i'm aiming for

In order to prevent further displacement I'm considering adding a baffle to the outside of the enclosure.

- Will this be a sufficient amount of support for the sub vs a baffle on the interior?

- When using Psp.com's calculator for aeroports it asks to input "Volume of Box in Cubic Feet" is this before or after all displacements?

- do you know any links to a diagram on how i am supposed to wire under hood batter>trunk battery>amps

- How should i wire the (2)saz1500's to (2)FI BL Dual 1

looking to get the whole 1500w to each sub individually?

- I need a cutsheet or sketch up for a box with Flared Aeroports if you could suggest someone that wouldnt mind doing that for me

- any suggestions for a budget trunk battery under $200 that'll be good for this particular setup. Not looking to buy multiple batteries just have space and funds for ONE.

Thanks again

i know nothing about areo port, i know that i started with 8 foot... after port and sub displacement i was down to some where near 6 foot... perhaps the areo ports take up less placement.. idonno.

front cell------ fuse----------- fuse------ rear cell +

frame to rear cell-

make sure you do the big three

if its gonna be a commen chamber box you should strap those amps.. .BUT YOU MUST BE AT A

2 OHM straped load... ofther wise your warrenty is shit.

if your running each sub in its own chamber then you can run 1 amp to each sub.

raise your budget a lil bit and get a powermaster d3100

thats what i would do... or a kenitic.

i use multi yellow tops..... i would sell you mine if you lived in texas!

as for the rest of your questions and even the ones that i responded to...

im sure other people will have stuff to say......

sounds like its gonna be a good install.. what kinda auto

I don't understand the question??? As long as the baffle is mounted to the enclosure on all side you should be good, probably a double baffle or plenty of bracing with those subs though.

After all displacement. Also when using multiple ports the length given is for each port, not total.
- do you know any links to a diagram on how i am supposed to wire under hood batter>trunk battery>amps

If you are only going to play music when the car is running then just fuse within 18' of each battery, then wire amps to 2nd battery like normal. If you are going to run the system with the car off I would suggest you get a battery isolator so you don't drain the starting battery.

- How should i wire the (2)saz1500's to (2)FI BL Dual 1

If you haven't ordered them yet get D2 coils and then you can strap the amps at 2ohms and get the power you want while keeping an even ammount of power to both subs.

PM me or send me an email and I can do that for you...

Titanium03g @ nycap.rr.com (remove spaces)

Look around in the classifides for a decent used one.

Thanks again

Hope that helped.
