Just my luck! Any ideas?

Recommended Posts

So just got out of my car. Recently just installed my powermaster battery and finally had my sub turned back on. As i was driving my front left tweeter started to just sing static. The words from the song sounded like a DJ was trying to scratch it for real. I have a pioneer 9800 headunit and was thinking maybe my preouts went bc i heard that was a problem. I havent checked the main connections like amp output or even the headunits preouts yet. I will tmw in the morning. Just curious what people think. Thanks

you installed a second cell in the rear? is that what your saying????

if so

check your fuses from front to back.. it sounds like it could be low voltage to your amp.

IF your speakers are amped

One tweeter makes the noise and the other doesn't ? I would start by flopping the rca's on the tweeter amp and see if the sound moves to the other side. Eliminate a bad tweeter from the get go. :)

Both issues sound like some not so secure wiring, personally I'd redo all connections to make sure that they are good.

My speakers are acting up too. I drove 5hrs yesterday with no problems but when I started my truck this morning the passenger side tweeter and mid aren't working. I briefly checked the connections to the crossover and to the amp and everything seems fine. The driver side works fine too. I hope next time I start it, they come back on like your guys'. :D
