AQ hd3 vs sundown nightshade

right now i have a AQ hd3 12 that i am running with 1800 watts at 2ohm. the box it is in is 2.5 tuned at 32hz. i am wondering if a sundown nightshade ran at 1ohm with 2400watss goin to it in the same box would be louder? this is a DD not no fart machine.

anyone? and the box for the sundown would be 1.75 cubes not 2.5

if the nightshade could take 2400 clean watts, pretty sure it would be a bit more loud.....

if i get it i most likely wont feed tat many watts just so im sure i dont kill it. also what if i did two nightshades off a around 1200 a piece?

what amp....and if money wasnt a concern i guess 2 nights would be more practical...

right now i have a pa a3000db. if i can find funds i would pick up the nightshades hands down.

i currently have an 12'' hdc3 and would recommend the nightshade over them. I have already reconed my sub once. The aq sounds pretty bad and has allot of mechanical noise to it. I have listened to nightshades in multiple setups and they are much better and sound great. I really don't trust my aq and really don't consider it to be a daily sub more of just spl. I plan on switching out my hdc3 for a nightshade very soon.

did you mean "shocker" 3? if so those are some badass subs, not much on sq but really good on the spl side. also i'd take a nightshade over a hdc3 anyday, overall better sub IMHO.
