eD 13Av.2 or Fi Q

I know everybody going to choose Fi Q but whats the advantage of this sub over the 13Av.2

ive heard some good things about elemental designs, but id go with the fi q as you would most likely be much happier with it.

Fi builds a great product, I have seen it in person plenty of times. eD on the other hand, well their products seem to be constantly suspect. Even if the eD driver was equal or better (which I would have serious doubts), it is still the fact of bad morals/karma to buy from and support a company that acts that way and has a history (seeing that things keep happening it is not history really). I am not bashing here, but I think the choice is pretty clear. The Q is a very good driver that does very well in both sealed and ported.

Considering nobody in this thread has owned/heard both 1st hand ill give you my unbiased opinion. Ive owned both and have to say the 13av.2 is a better driver overall. I have mine off a SAZ 1500D, 2cuft @ 30hz and it loves it. The response below 40hz is absolutely nuts for a driver of its size. The Q is a great driver as well and either choice is a winner...but the 13av.2 is just a better driver between the two regardless of opinions about the company.

i am a huge fan for the Q but i also seen the ED 13av.2 . i say you can go wrong with the 13av 2 .my reason is because i actualy had a customer who had one and i was like wow that thing is insane , sound quality was perfect and power was crazy. BTW FI Q is my favorite FI woofer(btl is obnoxious)

both are good choices...but as stated before I would feel better about spending my money with a company that stands behind their products and has staff here at SSA that will answer any and all questions you have....Fi Q for me on this....

Uh perhaps people should of been more respectful of my original post. Its a 2 way street ya know? If you post anything positive regarding an ED product on this forum you get flamed out the ass. I dont care what people say of their management...im just rating their product which regarding the 13av.2 is solid.

Like I stated before also, both are good options to have. The customer service also plays a major part in a buisness also.

Product vs product ----both are very capiable drivers.

service vs service----Fi will walk all over eD

I don't need to have heard a 13av.2 to recommend against it. To me the integrity of the company is worth as much as the product. I don't care if that sub is the best speaker in the world, I still wouldn't buy it.
