Yes they use the AudioControl meter but its still fun and yes we both took first in our classes by a huge margin. I was just over 10db louder then 2nd place in my class. :drink40:

Everyone keep in mind that this wasn't TL #s it was an AudioControl mic. Even on an AC mic a 160 is still freakin loud. There were only four people at the event that did a 160 or better. Everyone read 6-7db higher than they do on the TL. Both our scores were Renegade which means the mic goes in the kick panel. I do a 153 in the kick on the TL and the Altima does 50s in the kick on the TL. The Altima is good for legal 49s on the TL and I do 51s.

Ok I hav e one question how do you do ports like this? I have been thinking about it and I think this is the only way that I will be able to egt a 8 cu f.t box in my trunk. Can someone help me do the math on tuning for something like this.

I don't mean to jack the thread or anything but it looks like you guys could help me.

That's awesome, congrats.

Does having aeroports go outside the box make any difference than having them inside the box?

It's more aerodynamic, doesn't occupy box volume, and sometimes helps to get the phase alignment of the ports to woofer cones closer.

Whats the specs on his box??

That box is on the small side at around 5ft. The 156.8 was an AC # but it still does consistant 150.Xs on the TL. As for aero ports, IMO they're simply more efficient all around than a slot port. Jacob already covered the key points there.

What the box tuned to in the ford explorer? I did a 155.4 on the audio control mic with 2 15" DC sound lvl4's tuned to 34hz. I am about to do 2 sundown 1500d's to each lvl4.

41hz for competition & 33hz for daily. There's about a 1.2db difference between the two.

I ran Clash of Titans 3 year's ago really fun to show!! I did 165+ at 94Hz with 1--15 dual 1 . I used two amp's to stay in pro 0-250. Than built a truck for Cadence with 10--12's and 10 Z5000's which was rated at 25watt's and was still in that class I was tuned at 94Hz and then pulled 175.9Db's .. So it would be fun to do a Sundown set-up. I'll call JIM McCORY and see if I can host a show like he want's me to do. He's asked me to host the UPPER MID-SOUTH REGIONAL'S it would be a triple point show. So if so Could alot of sundown car's come. That would be great to show Sundown in the house.
