RCA cables for amps

Recommended Posts

I know there has been some problems with RCA cables and the amps for some reason. I am considering either of these 2 sets http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KRY4.4M or http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.c...rodID=KARSS4.4M

Will they both work and would you recommend one over the other?

I have used the Krystal RCAs before and they worked for me - I found them to be very tight, though. Hard to remove.

I pretty much use something along these lines these days:

Very standard ends without any extra gripping features or fancy plugs... always work for me. I have several sets of these red monster RCAs.

Yah... Monster as a company blows, but those cables work well.

Basically an example... similar cables work nicely. I have Scosche EFX in the truck and on the test bench.

These are nicer Scosche cables, not sure if you can get them @ wal-mart.

I can't ever hear a difference?!?!?

You can't hear a difference - I just like these particular Scosche cables since they have a strong jacket that is hard to damage and plugs that never cause issues with any amps :)

You don't want to get in the argument about not hearing the difference, I agree with you whole heartedly but someone who advocates $2,000/ft RCAs and speaker wire will come in and argue to the death that you can hear a difference.

If it has a good connector, is shielded, has decent strain relief and is well built well then a cable is a cable at that point. It is definitely not something I'd spend a lot of dough on. For convenience sake and the fact that the prices are reasonable I am a fan of Knu.

I agree. All of my cables have been 17 dollar Lightning Audio or Schoches. In my home theater I'm even still using some old radio shack, probably 4 dollar RCAs. Kinda want to change those out soon though, haha.

My thoughts exactly, but there are some crazy people out there, lol, they're generally called "Audiophiles" and they also think vinyl and tubes amps sound better :2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::2girls::shtf::unclejohn::asskiss::shrug::suicide-santa::roflmao::twirl::detail::captain::boobs2::stfu2::popcorn::nothingtoadd::badmood2::brick::domodance::dozeoff::google::ibtb::lildevil::nevar::gheybandwgn:
